Acorn Espie Ballet Poppy Print Women's
If you want to eek out a bit more summer, catch a pair of these cute little canvas numbers before they are gone. They are available in 3 different colors, (poppy print, sand print and surf print) and they are made of natural cotton, rubber and jute. Cruelty-free! They are cushioned inside to be soft on your feet and the sole is stable. It is a mashup of an espadrille mating with a ballet slipper …results are lively and lovely!

Birki’s Women’s Freeport Vegan Sandal

Wednesday, July 4th, 2012

I haven’t seen too many vegan Birkenstocks around this summer and while researching this article, I’ve learned that Birkenstock and Birkis have stopped producing vegan sandals and clogs. (missed opportunity!!) If you still love this style, there are a few left on Amazon and http://www.veganstore.com/. The style pictured here comes in brown, black and navy however the only color that Amazon has full stock in all sizes is the navy color. The navy is very pretty but I’m not sure it is the most practical for most fashionistas.

Mink Leopard – Vegan Wedge Sandal

Vegan Wedge Sandals
The story behind Mink Shoes is heart warming. Rebecca Mink, a native of southern California, is a big animal lover and tree hugger (and I mean that in the fondest way!) started a shoe company but was determined to keep it animal cruelty free. She approached many Italian shoe factorys with her designs and after many rejections, found Marco Gambassi, whose family has been crafting shoes for generations. These are the must haves for this year. Everyone is sporting the rattan wedges soles and I love that these have recycled fabric uppers.
